Xine Volume 4 supplement 2 - February 2004

Dear Colleagues:

Welcome to Xine, the source for Xenopus news and information. This is an update of things that were inadvertantly left out of Xine 4.2 (OK, I forgot them)

Xenopus tropicalis genome project

The minutes from the latest meeting of the Xenopus tropicalis Steering committee for the Genome Sequencing Project that took place on 2/10/04 are now posted and can be seen at:

http://tropicalis.berkeley.edu/home/mission/genome_seq/2-10-04.html

Please also visit the Harland lab trop site at http://tropicalis.berkeley.edu/home/ for up to the minute information and links to other trop labs.

BAC sequencing

This is the last call for sequencing of specific Xenopus tropicalis BAC clones. The JGI will shortly stop accepting applications for requesting sequencing of specific BACs. If you have identified a BAC for sequencing or would like the BAC library screened for specific sequences, click the link below. All requests will be reviewed and prioritized by the Xenopus tropicalis Genome Project Advisory Board.
If you want to take advantage of this opportunity, go to the following link to apply.
